Cosmetic dentistry in Royal Oak
For the chip, gap or stain you notice in every photo.
Most people who ask us about cosmetic work want one thing fixed: a chipped front tooth, a gap, a stain, or a few crooked teeth. We do whitening, bonding, porcelain veneers and CandidPro clear aligners in our Royal Oak office, and we'll tell you which one makes sense for your teeth, and what it costs, before you commit to anything.

What happens at your visit
- Tell us what bugs you
Bring a photo of a smile you like, if you have one. We'll look at your teeth, gums and bite, because the right fix depends on all three.
- Go over the options
Whitening changes color. Bonding fixes a small chip in one visit. Veneers change shape, color and alignment together. Aligners move crooked or gapped teeth. We'll tell you which we'd pick and why.
- Try it on first
For veneers, we take impressions and our lab designs your new smile. You come back and try it on in temporary material, so you can see it in the mirror and in photos. Nothing is done to your teeth until you like it.
- Treatment
Whitening and bonding take one visit. Veneers take two. Aligners take a few months to a year, with short check-ins.
Cost and insurance
Insurance usually doesn't cover cosmetic work, though some parts can be covered, like a crown on a broken tooth. You'll get a written price before you decide, and financing is available for larger cases. See financing and insurance, or our membership plan if you don't have insurance.
Common questions
Will veneers look fake?
They shouldn't. We match the shade and shape to your face and your other teeth. The goal is for people to think you look good, not to wonder what you had done.
Can I see my veneers before I commit?
Yes. With a smile trial, our lab designs your new teeth and you try them on in temporary material. We take photos so you can see how they look, then remove it. We only start once you're happy with the design.
Is professional whitening better than store kits?
Store kits are fine for light staining. Professional whitening is stronger and faster, and we protect your gums and help with sensitivity. If your teeth are more gray than yellow, whitening may not do much, and we'll tell you that up front.
Do clear aligners work for adults?
Yes, for mild to moderate crowding and spacing. We use CandidPro, and we check in on your progress along the way. If your bite needs bigger changes, an orthodontist may be the better route, and we'll refer you.
