Who it's for
A good fit if
- You don't have dental insurance
- You're self-employed, retired, or between jobs
- Your insurance has a low yearly maximum or a high deductible
- You want the whole family's checkups handled for one price
- You need work done soon and don't want to wait out an insurance waiting period
Questions
Membership plan questions
Is this dental insurance?
No. It's a membership agreement directly between you and our office. You pay one yearly fee, your preventive care is included, and you get 20% off most other treatment here. There's no insurance company involved, so there are no deductibles, yearly maximums, waiting periods or claim forms.
When can I start using it?
Right away. There's no waiting period. You can book your cleaning the day you join.
Can I use it together with dental insurance?
No. The plan can't be combined with dental insurance. If you have insurance and choose to use it for a visit, your insurance plan's fees and rules apply to that visit instead.
What if I have gum disease?
The two included cleanings are regular cleanings. If you have gum disease, you need periodontal maintenance cleanings instead. Add perio maintenance for $101 a year on top of your plan price, and treatment like deep cleanings is 20% off.
Can my whole family join?
Yes. Each adult is $399 a year and each child 18 and under is $369, when a family member in the same household is also on the plan. Your spouse or partner and your children under 26 can be added.
Does it cover implants, snap-in dentures or All-on-X?
Crowns and other restorations on implants are 20% off. All-on-X and snap-in dentures, including converting your denture, aren't included and don't get the member discount. They have their own set prices, which we'll give you in writing at your free consult.
Do members get a deal on night guards or retainers?
Yes. Members pay $499 for a custom night guard (occlusal guard), which protects your teeth if you clench or grind, and $299 for an orthodontic retainer.
How do I pay?
The yearly fee is paid in full when you join, by card. Treatment is paid in full at each visit to get the member price. The plan renews automatically each year on your join date.
How do I cancel?
Call us, email us, or tell us at the front desk any time before your renewal date, and we'll confirm in writing. We don't send renewal reminders, so keep track of your renewal date. It's on your signed agreement. Membership fees aren't refundable, so cancelling stops the next renewal.
What if I don't use it, or I move?
The fee covers a full year and isn't refundable if you don't use it, move, or get dental insurance. Care that isn't used during the year doesn't carry over.
Membership terms
Serenity Family Dentistry, PLLC · In-House Membership Savings Plan · Updated October 23, 2026. You'll review and sign these terms, and a card authorization, when you join.
What's included each year
- Two exams, two regular cleanings, the check-up x-rays you need during the year, one emergency exam with an x-ray, and one fluoride treatment.
- Three-cleaning ($546) and four-cleaning ($658) plans include the same care with three or four regular cleanings a year. Each plan price is the full price for the year.
Member pricing
- Members pay our regular fees minus 20% for fillings and core build-ups, gum disease treatment, crowns and bridges, veneers and whitening, root canals, regular dentures and partials (not snap-in dentures), crowns and restorations on implants, and extractions.
- Members pay $499 for a night guard (occlusal guard) and $299 for an orthodontic retainer.
- Members with gum disease need periodontal maintenance cleanings instead of regular cleanings, and add perio maintenance for $101 a year on top of their plan price.
Who can join
- We don't turn anyone away because of their dental history.
- To join on your own, you must be 18 or older. You can add your spouse or domestic partner, and your children under 26.
- The child price ($369) applies to children 18 and under when a family member in the same household is also a member.
- The plan can't be combined with dental insurance or any other offer. If you choose to use dental insurance for a visit, your insurance plan's fees, payments and deductibles apply to that visit.
- Patients with Medicaid, including the Healthy Michigan Plan, or other government dental coverage aren't eligible.
Fees and payment
- The yearly fee is paid in full when you join. Payment plans can't be used for the membership fee.
- You'll sign a separate authorization for us to keep your card on file and charge it for your membership fees.
- Your 12-month membership starts the day you join.
- To get the member price, treatment must be paid in full at the time of service. Anything not paid in full at the time of service is billed at our regular fees.
- Membership fees are non-refundable, including if you don't use the plan, move, or get dental insurance. Included care that isn't used during your membership year doesn't carry over and isn't refunded.
Automatic renewal and cancelling
- Your membership renews automatically every year on the date you joined. On that date we charge the card on file the plan fee in effect at that time.
- We don't send renewal reminders. Your renewal date is on your signed agreement, and keeping track of it is your responsibility.
- You can cancel your renewal any time before your renewal date by calling 248-398-5520, emailing info@serenityfamilydentist.com, or telling us at the front desk. We'll confirm your cancellation in writing.
- If your renewal payment doesn't go through, we'll contact you. Member pricing pauses until the fee is paid.
Changes to the plan
- Plan prices and included services may change once a year, starting at your next renewal. We don't send notice of changes. Current prices are posted at our front desk and on our website.
- A treatment price we quote you is guaranteed for 90 days from the date of the quote.
What the plan doesn't include
- All-on-X full-arch implants and snap-in dentures, including denture conversions. They have their own set prices.
- Orthodontic treatment, including clear aligners (retainers have the member price above), and treatment by specialists. If our doctor refers you to a specialist, the member discount doesn't apply there. Referrals are at the doctor's discretion.
- 3D CT scans.
- Treatment needed because of an injury, or when other insurance or a third party is responsible.
- Treatment started before you joined.
- Crowns, dentures or other treatment that's in progress or delivered more than 60 days after your membership ends.

- All members follow our standard office policies.
General
- Membership is personal and can't be transferred or sold.
- These terms are governed by Michigan law.
